IF-02-05 Driving improvement at pace – reviews
Improvement Performance Reviews help ensure initiatives stay on track and deliver sustainable improvements.
The objectives for conducting improvement performance reviews are to:
- Understand initiative progress and problem solve roadblocks/issues which may be preventing progress;
- Maintain the pace and focus on improvement by ensuring the team is continually prioritising the improvement effort.
Line leaders should lead the performance reviews in their area with all initiative owners participating (plus additional support as needed); reviews should be regular (e.g., weekly) and conducted either around the Improvement board or online, depending on team location.
The pay-off from these reviews is a common understanding of current issues, agreed actions and continued momentum.
