Idea sessions are used both generate ideas in a specific area and also at the end of the session to prioritize the generated ideas to reflect the group’s thinking.
The key steps for a an idea session include:
- Prepare for the session
- Run the session
- Agree next steps
Idea sessions should always include people actually doing the work. Sessions work best if there has been good preparation beforehand identifying the main issue/opportunity and building an initial driver tree which can then be used to help guide the session to identify ideas for the main levers.
Previously created ideas or new ideas can be easily added to the idea session.
